Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new Silverado 1500 is more customizable than ever with eight trim levels, each offering different exterior features. The baseline Work Truck trim offers a graphite grill and tailgate with black bumpers. The Custom trim, however, upgrades to signature LED taillamps. To get LED headlamps, you'll have to opt for the LT trim, at least. If you want a chrome finish on your grille and center bar, the LTZ can provide it, but the High Country features a two-tone bronze and chrome finish for extra style.
Engine (Power)
Chevrolet wasn't messing around when they equipped the Silverado 1500 with its engine options. With six in total, you'll be able to enjoy plenty of power for a wider variety of tasks than ever before. The V-6 engine produces an already impressive 285 horsepower, but the V-8 models take that to the next level with 355 and 420 horsepower. Additionally, there's a 2.7-liter turbo model with 310 horsepower and an advanced 3-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine if you're looking for that famous diesel-fueled capability.
Performance
Considering how much power is under the hood, you can guarantee that the Silverado 1500 performs. The standard V-8 engine offers a towing capacity of 9,000 pounds, but when properly equipped the Silverado can tow up to 12,200 pounds of cargo. Additionally, you can opt for the Z71 Off-Road package for features like all-terrain tires and Rancho shocks that will help you conquer even the roughest terrain.
Interior
Inside the Silverado 1500, you'll find a surprisingly spacious cabin with plenty of room for passengers in each seat. Hidden storage compartments are located in the cab, including one within the seatback itself. Advanced technology is available as well, including a heads-up display that presents important information directly on your windshield. You'll find an innovative infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
Safety Features
