Welcome to our new website!

The Lindsay Automotive Group has been an important part of the Washington, DC metro area community for decades.  Beginning with Lindsay Cadillac of Alexandria opening in 1949, three generations of Lindsay's have been involved in the daily operations of the dealership family that now includes Lexus of Alexandria, Lindsay Ford of Wheaton MD, Lindsay Chevrolet of Woodbridge and Saturn Service Center in Woodbridge VA, plus Isuzu Commercial Trucks, Lindsay Volkswagen of Dulles, and most recently, Lindsay Smart Center Alexandria.

Having been in the same location since 1963, the Lindsay organization is actively engaged in its community.  Our philanthropic philosophy reflects a preference towards activities and events that benefit children.  As such, we are regular sponsors of the annual Children's Ball at Children's Hospital, the Boys & Girls Club of Alexandria, and Autism Speaks.  Lindsay Automotive Group has also been a platinum sponsor of the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, and annually sponsors the Alexandria Scottish Christmas Walk and Life with Cancer golf tournament for INOVA Hospital.  Through charitable donations, sponsorships, and program advertisements, we support many public and private events and activities in the greater Washington DC metro area.

"Great Vehicles Sold by Great People!"

My wife and I recently decided to trade in our 5-year old Mazda MPV for a new vehicle.  We had heard good things about the Chevy Traverse and we wanted to see for ourselves if these things were true.  We drove to Lindsay Chevrolet last Wednesday evening and met with Mr. Ruben Carvalho, who patiently and expertly answered all our questions and more, for well over an hour.  He then encouraged us to compare the Traverse to other vehicles we were considering, and he assured us we would be coming back.  His confidence in the Traverse (and his expert knowledge of it) was well-founded.

We took Ruben's advice and checked out two other crossover vehicles by other manufacturers.  You should know that during the last 27 years, we've bought ten Mazdas and have been very happy with all of them.  On Friday and Saturday, we checked and test-drove both the Mazda CX-9 and the Hyundai Veracruz.  On Saturday morning, we returned to Lindsay Chevrolet.  Again, Ruben answered our questions and we even went out for a second test drive.  After comparing the three vehicles, it was clear the Traverse was the winner for us.  When we had settled on a particular vehicle, your sales staff went into action.

Mr. Fino Saladini made us feel right at home while we went over paperwork and discussed options and financing.  He also answered all our questions without any you-know-what.  My wife and I really appreciated his customer-focused approach and attention to detail; he even offered us lunch!  Ruben made the sale and Fino closed the deal; this was one of the best car-buying experiences we've ever had!

Last, but not least, Ms. Jewel Kelly worked with us as she completed our financing paperwork and warranty options.  Her friendly demeanor, expert knowledge and attention to detail were noteworthy; we can't thank her enough for her professionalism!

"Made Me Feel Like Family"

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you the great experience I had with your dealership of Lindsay Chevrolet. I went into your dealership expecting nothing but to get turned away. Instead I got what I wanted and more. Let me tell you about my experience.  First there was Neal whom was very informed as to what he has and listened to what I was looking for. There was no pressure to buy anything he gave me the opportunity to make up my own mind as to what I wanted. If there was anything I wanted he made sure he took care of it for me. If I had any questions he answered truthfully and honestly. He never rushed me away and always answered my calls anytime I called him with a question. Then there was Mark, he took me to look at the cars that I wanted to look at. He took me and showed me what he had on the lot and asked me what I was looking for. He let me test drive what I wanted and took his time never rushing me. When I decided as to what I wanted he went over the paperwork explaining everything I needed to know. He also told me what was going to happen when I finished the paperwork. He gave me all my options and kept assuring me that everything would be ok and they would find someone to take me. He sat and chatted with me like I was the only one in the dealership never rushing to take care of something or someone else. He made me feel really comfortable and special. Then there was Keith. I know he had a challenge before him with my credit history. But he handled my problems with so much professionalism and tenacity that I knew he would get the deal done. He kept searching until he found the right financial institution that would handle me. Then he made sure that I was satisfied with the price that I had to pay. I want to thank each and everyone of these people that dealt with me. The determination to get the deal done, the professionalism to make sure you are satisfied was much more than I could have imagined. They not only made me feel like the only customer but they also made me feel like family. Then they took me to the service dept. and everyone was so friendly. Buying a car at this dealership was the best experience that I have ever had. I want to thank everyone in that dealership for the best experience and non pressured day I have ever had! Thank you one and all for everything you did for me!

I just wanted to thank you for your assistance Friday night. I dread going car shopping worse than a trip to eh dentist for a root canal - I do not tolerate the full-court press and BS very well at all. However, you and Scott were quite the opposite of any such experience I have had before - low key, professional, knowledgeable, and peraonable.

I felt I made the choice I wanted to make without any undue pressure from you or anyone else at the dealership. Your finance person was also the same sort of guy and great to deal with. Both my wife and I drove away feeling good and have felt no buyer's remorse - again, highly unusual in my 33 years of buying and leasing new cars and trucks.

"Personal Service and Attention to Details"

I feel secure and confident with my traverse.  I truly appreciate Lindsay's staff for their personal service and attention to details.  I can be pretty frenetic sometimes and I have way too much on my plate.  I am glad that I now have two less things to worry about .... the reliability of our vehicles.

"Great Service Team at Lindsay Chevrolet"

Dear Mr. Smyth,

I would like to take this opportunity to tell you how appreciative my family and I are of your customer service department and especially your representative Amy Keller. We are a Chevy family owning a Malibu & Aveo and although they were not purchased at Lindsay I have not taken them back to where I bought them since my experience at Lindsay.

My first encounter with Amy was on the phone to schedule service for my daughters Chevy Aveo. I explained to Amy that I had been having a hard time getting the original dealership to address the issues and I was really frustrated. Additionally I had incurred some time constraints that needed to be met. Regardless of the issues Amy took the time to listen and ensured that I had an appointment within the time frame I gave her. Additionally the work on the car was 'perfect' and with minimal wait time.

The next time I called on Amy was when my daughter's car needed an oil change. I knew I would not be able to bring it in so I called Amy and let her know that my daughter would be bringing in her own car. Amy reassured me all would be fine and that she would contact me if anything was needed.
 
When juggling a family, school, career and everything that life throws at you time management becomes an essential ingredient. It is reassuring to know there are people like Amy that take the time to ensure the needs of others are met.

My family and I truly appreciate her dedication and hope you recognize, as we do, the value of such an employee. You have a great team at Lindsay Chevrolet and I trust you will continue to provide excellent customer service in the future.
