Chevy Cruze NADA Named Car of Year

NADAguides.com, renowned among consumers for their in-depth, pre-buy research tools and pricing, has just named the Chevy Cruze "2011 Car of the Year". Among the vehicle attributes NADA (North American Dealer Association) pays extremely close attention to as they assess vehicles  are performance, design language, safety technologies and total cost of ownership - essentially all things that matter most to you, the driver.

With an authoritative 138-hp to its name and up to 42 miles per gallon, the Chevy Cruz is a natural winner in terms of performance. Especially with available Z-link rear suspension to seal the deal.  The Chevy…

Post a Tree and Chevy Will Plant One

We have a riddle for you: How do you plant a tree without digging some soil and getting a little grubby? The answer: When you plant one virtually. That's exactly what American Automaker Chevrolet is asking drivers to do.

Like the social-media game FarmVille (still the rage among many Facebook users), Chevy's tree planting, or should we say posting, initiative allows participants to plant vegetation; specifically,  trees. Unlike FarmVille, the endeavor transforms all virtual trees into real trees.

No, we're not inferring this is some ethereal trick. Rather, with the help of the National Forest Foundation, Chevy…

Chevrolet Lets Horsepower Out of the Bag

We've known about the development of the Camaro ZL1 for a long time, now. Chevy, however, has been pulling the oldest pre-launch trick in automakers' book: ultra-vague, big promises. Of course, it's worked, putting us on the edge of our seats - even if all they've had to say is that it will trounce the competition... not actually how much horsepower it will deliver.

Thankfully, the waiting game is over. And, it's a good thing, too.  Our behinds were starting to go numb.

Simply stated: Chevrolet's highly-anticipated revelation was everything we could have hoped for and…

Chevrolet Volt Availability to Improve

Chevrolet deliberately planned a temporary production stoppage of the Volt this June, which means there will be limited availability of the EV until August. According to Chevy spokesperson Robert Peterson, there are now roughly 200 Volt models available nationwide.

Why would Chevy plan such a stoppage with only 200 models available in the U.S.? Simple: They're looking toward the future.

Chevy decided to hit the pause button on Volt production to make space and time to upgrade the Detroit -Hamtrack Assembly plant, where the Volt is made, in time for the 2012 model-year changeover... In case you haven…
